Privacy policy
Effective September 12, 2026 · Applies to the Android and iOS appsAdventurer (also called Adventurer: Life Quests) is operated by Kris Allen under the Tiger Labs brand. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, contact us, or visit this policy page. For privacy questions or requests, email support@tigerlabsapps.com.
Your journals and chosen photos are saved on your device. Sign-in is optional. Android offers a manual cloud-backup feature; the current iPhone version does not automatically upload or synchronize your journal. Sharing happens only when you choose to share.
Information the app handles
- Accounts: If you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple where available, Firebase Authentication processes your account identifier, authentication tokens, and the profile details the provider supplies, such as name, email address, and profile image. Apple may supply a private relay email. We do not receive your Google, Facebook, or Apple password. Connecting Facebook to an existing account associates those login identities.
- Your adventures: The app stores challenge progress, completion dates, journal text, and photos you select in its local storage. It accesses selected photos rather than automatically uploading your photo library. Information visible in a photo or entered in a journal may be personal or sensitive; choose what you include.
- Backups and exports: Local backups contain your journal and photos. On Android, choosing cloud backup uploads a copy to Firebase Cloud Storage associated with your account. The iPhone version offers a file export and restore feature; sign-in alone does not transfer memories between devices. Exported backups, images, books, and posters go to the destination you choose.
- Service and support information: Authentication and hosting providers process technical information, such as IP addresses, device or browser details, request times, and security logs, to operate and protect their services. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and attachments. During TestFlight testing, Apple can provide crash reports, usage information, and feedback under its TestFlight privacy notice.
How information is used
Information is used to provide sign-in, keep your progress and memories, perform requested backups and exports, respond to support or privacy requests, and protect and troubleshoot the app. The current app does not request GPS location or contacts, display advertising, or enable advertising tracking. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. The app does not send your journals or photos to an AI service to generate challenges.
Sharing and service providers
Google Firebase provides authentication and optional Android cloud storage. Google, Apple, and Meta process information when you use their sign-in services. Their handling of data is described in Firebase’s privacy information, Google’s privacy policy, Apple’s privacy policy, and Meta’s privacy policy.
Sharing to Instagram, Facebook, or another destination sends the content you select to that service through your device’s sharing tools. Review the destination and content before posting. Those services control their own retention and audience settings. Creating a keepsake export does not automatically order a printed product or send it to a printing company.
We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or threats to people’s rights and safety. The policy webpage is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare; hosting services may process technical request information to deliver and secure the page. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, or a contact form to this page.
Retention and security
Local memories remain until you erase them, remove the app’s data, or uninstall the app. Device or operating-system backups may retain separate copies depending on your settings. Logging out does not delete your account or saved data. A manual Android cloud backup remains until replaced or deleted; editing or erasing a local journal alone does not update an existing cloud copy.
Account records remain until account deletion is requested and completed. Firebase states that authentication IP logs are kept for a few weeks and that other authentication information is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days after deletion is initiated. Provider security logs and backup copies follow the provider’s retention rules. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
The app uses operating-system protections and secure network connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Exported backup files are not protected by a separate app password; keep them in a secure location. Providers may process data outside your country under their applicable data-protection arrangements.
Your choices and deletion
You can use guest mode, choose which photos to import, edit your journal, and decide whether to export, back up, or share. Manage provider permissions in your Google, Apple, or Facebook account settings and device permissions in your phone’s settings.
On iPhone, open Account → Your privacy → Erase this journal from this iPhone to erase the current local journal. To delete a signed-in account, use Delete my account and data in Account and complete identity confirmation. Account deletion removes the Firebase account, its associated cloud backup if present, and the current account’s local journal on that device. Other profiles, other devices, previously exported files, and posts you shared remain separate; delete those copies at their destinations. If deletion reports an error, retry or contact us.
To request access, correction, deletion, or help without the app, email support@tigerlabsapps.com with the subject “Adventurer privacy request.” Include the sign-in email associated with your account, if any, and what you would like us to do. Do not send passwords or login codes. We may verify account ownership before acting. We cannot retrieve journals stored only on your device. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights, including portability, restriction or objection to processing, withdrawal of consent, and a complaint to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Adventurer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an account or support request, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice. New features may have additional privacy information when introduced.
